Jon and Kate Plus 8

I watched the season premier of "Jon and Kate Plus 8" last night and it was incredibly sad, in my opinion. I know they got themselves in to this fishbowl existence, though I don't believe that they thought is would ever get to the point that it did. Still, I have compassion for the couple, and especially the kids.

Anybody else have opinions on this show?

I remember thinking at the finale of last season, Jon does not want to continue doing the show and Kate does. I hoped they could reach an agreement. They haven't obviously. It would seem that continuing working on the show instead of their marriage is not working for them. Can they take a hiatus? This is somewhat like watching a train wreck about to happen.
