Our youngest dude was born at 24 weeks, 1 pound 6 ounces. He had 2 or 3 brain bleeds soon after he was born, which caused him to have cerebral palsy. It's fairly mild - he can walk and run (in fact, he runs better than he walks!) Still, it's not good. He's had botox injections every 3 months for the past couple of years, but they aren't doing the job as well any more. We're thinking about a surgery that basically moves his muscles around. It's a tough recuperation (especially for an active 9 year old). Anyone have any experience with this?
